Monika Vaverová is a progressive fashion and costume designer and the founder of the studio MIMO SPACE, specialising in futuristic garments and stage costumes. For more than thirteen years, she has been active in the fashion and film industries, focusing on the complete design process, the development of innovative technological methods, and the use of modern materials. She is the author of hundreds of original costumes for music videos, commercials, dance and acrobatic shows, television series, and films. Her work includes the iconic blue android costume for O2’s advertising campaign, sci-fi armour for Netflix and Apple TV productions, and the main costume for the film Amerikánka, which won a Czech Lion Award. Alongside her creative practice, she is also devoted to education – for several years she has lectured in fashion business and management at the Institute of Fashion Design in Prague, and she regularly speaks at professional events within the Czech creative scene.
